Message from the Pastoral Team 🌞

As we head into the summer holidays, we thought it would be useful to share some online safety tips during a time when children often have more opportunities to socialise through online apps, games, and mobile devices. ℹ️

We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable summer! ☀️

Apologies in advance for this long post, but I am just so proud and wanted to share a few highlights.😀

What an incredible year it has been! From our children showing their skills during various sporting events and music performances, to great academic achievements, fun PTA events, incredible performances throughout, including the Christmas shows, followed by exciting visits and thrilling residentials. And this is just a small sample of what our children and team have Enjoyed and Achieved this year.🏆

This was all topped off with so many emotional moments over this last few weeks.🥲
With the brilliant Reception and Y2 Graduations, Rothwell’s Got Talent auditions (with the majority of the children in each year group being brave enough to take themselves out of their comfort zones and audition in front of their peers. Resulting in a phenomenal final, hosted as ever by Mr Burmo, which entertained us greatly, showcasing the incredible skills of our talented children. 👏👏

Other highlights have definitely been the Year 6 Show which was sensational with each child having their time to shine. Tissues were needed by all yesterday in our Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly and end of the day ‘Walk of Pride’ resulted in years of pride all round!. 🙌

Good luck to our Year 6 children and everyone who in entering their next c#reach #RPSe#BeTheBestThatYouCanBeS #BeTheBestThatYouCanBe. ⭐️

Thank you to all of our supportive parents and carers. Your kind words in your cards, your positive feedback and thoughtful treats recognising the difference we make together means the world. The power of a ‘thank you’ comment or a caring word in a card means so much to our team.❤️
A special mention to our terrific PTA members- you have given our your valuable time to provide our children such great experiences. 👏

If I can ask all of our parents/carers to take 5 minutes, to do 2 things for me, I would be really grateful. 👍

1. Please could you add a comment on this RPS Facebook site on the ‘Review#PositiveVvibesnd share your thoughts/memories? #PositivevVibes. This helps other parents/carers to get valuable insight into your experiences when they are deciding upon which school to choose for their child when they start school in Reception.

2. Thank you to those who have taken the time to complete the parent/carer survey, your feedback is very important to us. We like to know what you think we have done well and how we can develop further as we move forward. Please check your emails for the link if you have not managed to do this yet. Thank you!

On behalf of our committed governors, who give up their time to share their incredible skills, our grateful parents and carers and myself, a huge thank you to the best staff team. I am so proud of the incredible of the way you show up every day, in the most caring way, going t#proudr#welldoner our children and each other!

I’m so pleased to see how this wonderful school goes from strength to strength. I was the headteacher from 2004-2006 when we moved to the new building.
