Tomorrow, Friday 13th, we are raising money for Children in Need! Children and staff are invited to wear bright or spotty non-uniform for a voluntary donation of £1, or whatever you wish to donate. Buckets will be placed outside the classroom doors for children to drop their money in when they enter school.
To spread a bit of happiness, GUNGE the staff is back! Children have the opportunity to buy a ticket from their class teacher for 50p each (max of 4 tickets). Please ensure you have the correct money for the number of tickets you would like to buy. The child's name will then be put on the ticket and put in a draw to find out who gets to tip the bucket of gunge over the head of our staff members. Thank you to Morrisons Rothwell and their Community Champion for providing the gunge making materials. Keep an eye out on Facebook later on tomorrow for a special video of this event!
Any funds raised will be quarantined for 72 hours to be COVID safe, so we will provide you with an amount raised next week. Thank you in advance for your support of this worthy cause! ...

As mentioned in the newsletter on Friday, for children in Years 1-6, your child should have come home with a book for home learning. Inside the front cover is all your child's passwords. (Class 5 had their sheet separate). This book is for home learning, jottings and notes, in the event that we should have to close a bubble and move to home learning.
In the event of a bubble closing for Years 1 to 6, we will continue to use Google Classroom as our home learning platform. In order to best help your child, please log into their Google Classroom account now to ensure you can access this. (Password and login details are at the front of your child’s home learning book). We will also use Google Classroom to set homework each week. This will help your children and yourselves to become familiar with this and resolve any technical difficulties now.
As mentioned in the newsletter, homework was set last Friday. If you have not logged on and completed this short task with your child, please do so by this Friday for your child to be counted in our class competition for home learning.
Children have now had a lesson using this in school to help them master using this system. If you struggle to access Google Classrooms, please try the user guides first www.rothwellprimary.co.uk/new-home-learning-information/), if you are still struggling, please send an email to the office.
Nursery and Reception will continue to use their Tapestry account. Please check this regularly.
Thank you for your support. ...
